CAREERS AT WAIKATO RUGBY

Rugby Development Advisor

Waikato Rugby is the lead agency for the development of rugby in the Waikato region. Serving a population of over 10,000 male and female players from junior and secondary, to club and representative grades, our purpose is to provide all who choose rugby with a quality sporting experience, from participation to pathway.

We’re on the look out for someone who is passionate about supporting the development of community rugby and its delivery partners in the Waikato region to take on the newly created role of Rugby Development Advisor. You’ll need to be capable of building solid partnerships, influencing decision-making and driving capability building initiatives among our region’s network of clubs and other community partners with the aim of ensuring that rugby and those who deliver it are meeting the needs of participants in order to grow the game.

This is an ideal position for someone who:

  • Has an understanding of sport development principles and the grassroots sport landscape with a desire to shape the future of rugby in the region
  • Builds and maintains solid stakeholder relationships
  • Likes to work collaboratively, is results-driven and can think outside the box
  • And wants to be part of one of the best Provincial Rugby Unions in the country!

The role includes provision of a work-vehicle for work purposes and access to other employee benefits (e.g. Health Insurance, gym access) so this is a position you won’t want to delay on.

If you would like to apply for this role, please do so through Seek by submitting your cover letter and CV by 5pm Friday 24th January
