Waikato Rugby is currently accepting applications for the position of Head Coach of the Waitomo Group: Waikato Farah Palmer Cup (FPC) team and the successful candidate will lead the team for the upcoming 2023 season on a fixed-term remunerated basis.
Women’s rugby has gained plenty of traction recently after the triumphant Black Ferns home World Cup campaign and the Waikato FPC team is an important part of that rugby community and the successful Head Coach will play a key role in ensuring that momentum continues on top of the team’s success.
The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of coaching and a deep understanding of the women’s game. They will be responsible for developing local talent and implementing game plans, managing player performance, and ensuring that the team is well-prepared for each match.
“We are looking for a Head Coach who is passionate and is committed to continuing to develop the skills and abilities of the women’s game in the region.” said Waikato’s Director of Rugby, Andrew Strawbridge. “This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a dynamic and successful rugby program.”
