Anton Lienert-Brown re-commits with Waikato Rugby.


Waikato Rugby is pleased to announce the re-signing of versatile midfielder, Anton Lienert-Brown, who has extended his contract through to the end of 2026 with New Zealand Rugby, Gallagher Chiefs and Waikato Rugby.

Lienert-Brown, 28, is Waikato cap #1131 and he made his debut for Waikato back in 2014, in a successful debut against Wellington. Since his debut, he has made a total of 22 appearances for the province, scoring a total of 20 points by the way of 4 tries. 

In 2016, Lienert-Brown, became a regular starter for the Gallagher Chiefs during Super Rugby which in turn saw him called into the All Blacks as injury cover for the Rugby Championship. After a successful international debut, he quickly cemented his place as a regular starter in the All Blacks midfield.
