SupaPwr becomes front of jersey partner of the Waikato National Provincial Championship team.

Waikato Rugby is pleased to announce SupaPwr as the new front of jersey partner of the Waikato National Provincial team until the end of 2028.

SupaPwr is New Zealand’s first truly localised Community Energy company, with its unique technology enabling communities to generate, share and sell power themselves – effectively allowing everyday Kiwis to build hundreds of mini power companies across the country.

This collaboration marks a significant milestone for the sponsorship and reflects a shared commitment to making a real difference at a regional and community level.

As a part of this major partnership, SupaPwr will play a role in Waikato Rugby’s ongoing aim to connect with its community – helping deliver cost of living relief and community spirit alongside the love of the game.

Through joint projects and activations, they will work together to raise awareness about the importance of sustainable energy practices and inspire positive change within the community.

“We believe this partnership will see our organisations come together on common ground to help drive community spirit and outcomes,” says Rob Rogers Chief Executive Officer at SupaPwr.

“At SupaPwr, we are dedicated to empowering communities to become more green and self reliant, helping them take control of unsustainable and unstable power prices.

“This partnership connects with our grass roots community ethos – allowing us a great opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of Kiwis across the Waikato,” says Rogers.

Waikato Rugby is equally enthusiastic about the collaboration and the opportunities it presents.

“We are delighted to welcome SupaPwr as one of our major partners,” said Hannah Grainger, Commercial Manager at Waikato Rugby

“Their expertise and commitment to sustainability, perfectly complements our mission, and we look forward to working together to create positive impact and drive significant change.”

Together both organisations will leverage their resources, expertise, and influence to inspire others and pave the way for a greener, fairer, and more sustainable future.

“After almost a decade as front of jersey sponsor, and many years supporting Waikato Rugby even before that, we now look forward to passing the baton and supporting the team from the sidelines,” says Gallagher CEO, Kahl Betham.

“Waikato Rugby has a proud history of community rugby across the region, and we’ve been extremely proud to be part of this over so many years.

We wish the team and SupaPwr all the very best for the season ahead.”
