The SkyCity Hamilton Waikato Women’s team has been named to play Auckland at Taupiri Rugby Club in week four of the Farah Palmer Cup.

The SKYCITY Hamilton Waikato Women’s team will be looking to repeat last year’s form against old rivals Auckland, having beaten the province for the first time last season. The 2018 season has started well for the Waikato side with two wins from three games leaving the province sitting equal third on the premiership table.

SkyCity Hamilton Waikato Women’s head coach, Wayne Maxwell, has made four changes to the match day 22.

Awhina Tangen-Wainohu comes into the side to replace Grace Houpapa-Barrett at loosehead prop, and is set to play her first match of the 2018 season. Meanwhile in the backs, Lonita Ngalu-Lavemei comes off the bench to start at centre, with Rina Paraone travelling to Japan to join the New Zealand Development Sevens team. Similarly, Calista Wihone moves into fullback with Makaia Te Kawana in the number 22 jersey; she’s joined on the bench by Danielle Paenga who comes into the twenty-two. 

SkyCity Hamilton Waikato Women take on Auckland at Taupiri Rugby Club on Saturday afternoon; kick-off is at 1.00pm.
